Schiphol demonstrates an innovative approach to reporting their strategic objectives. The Group provides a forward-looking set of strategic objectives for the period 2013-2017, grouped by strategic theme. Subsequently Schiphol identifies the main risks which the Group faces, providing a balanced and a transparent articulation of strategic implementation and the challenges the business faces. 

In particular, the SWOT – which addresses Schiphol’s strengths, weaknesses as well as an examination of the threats and opportunities – follows the strategy and risk discussion providing a transparent insight into the elements of the business which underpin the strategic direction of the business.
