  • The capitals
  • Conciseness
  • Connectivity of information
  • Reliability and completeness

Key observations:

York Timbers’ risk discussion presents information in a concise and balanced manner (Sections 3E and 3F of the International <IR> Framework) by showcasing both positive and negative aspects of principal risks using succinct bullet point format. After initially presenting risks in a risk heat matrix, the risk dashboard takes readers through a number of additional aspects. Each of the key risks is described, with icons then indicating whether the ‘probability’ and ‘impact’ of each is low, medium or high, and then continues with the discussion of mitigating strategies and opportunities arising from each risk, thereby showing alignment with paragraph 4.25 of the International <IR> Framework which calls for insight into the steps being taken to mitigate or manage risks. Moreover, clear links are made between individual risks and relevant KPIs through bullet points as well as between risks and the affected capitals through icons, thereby demonstrating the connectivity of information (Section 3B of the International <IR> Framework).
