Key observations:

The ‘Our Performance’ section of the report identifies three growth drivers that support re-investment and shareholder return. Each is accompanied by an update on progress against strategy and a list of relevant key performance indicators. The strategic elements are then explored further, with performance statements supported by case studies and data to substantiate progress made. Insights into future opportunities are also provided.

The report adheres to the Connectivity of Information principle in several respects. Internal cross-referencing helps to link related content and, in so doing, avoids repetitive disclosures that might otherwise bloat the report. Moreover, with its simple ‘Driver 1 + Driver 2 + Driver 3 = Result’ approach, the report also connects cause and effect. Finally, within each section, the report bridges time horizons by presenting the past (i.e. five-year histories) alongside the future (‘The future opportunity’). In this respect, the discussion also follows the principles of Strategic Focus and Future Orientation.
