FMO’s external environment pages focus on six key global and industry trends that affect the Group’s operating environment. In compliance with paragraph 3.6 of the IR Framework, the section shows a holistic picture of the combination and dependencies between market factors, risks and strategic objectives. By linking these sections together, FMO ensures that some of these potentially negative market trends are addressed proactively and consequently these are made into opportunities for the Group. Additionally, the interests of stakeholders are looked at in the context of each external trend, underlining the fact that stakeholders are the ultimate focus of the Group.
