Key observations:

Itau Unibanco's 2014 Integrated Report includes an overview of the company's three step materiality determination process – identification, prioritization and validation.  Using this process, Itau Unibanco was able to narrow down its list of 76 priority topics raised by its internal and external stakeholders to the 23 most important issues facing the company.  The overview of this section highlights that Itau Unibanco has updated its management process to include social, environmental, economic and governance aspects in a single materiality matrix. The matrix utilizes color-coding to reflect the capital being impacted by each issue, and it incorporates picture icons which correspond to the relevant discussion of each material matter later in the report.
