Transnet provide an interesting overview of assurance in the opening pages of the Report which set the scene for the credibility of the ensuing information. Using a matrix format, Transnet outlines the areas of the Report which have been assured, the bodies who have provided the assurance and the resulting outcome. Usefully, Transnet also outlines the key frameworks and standards – including IFRS, Companies Act, King III, ISO – to which the business has complied to provide an understanding of the requirements which have been met.
