  • Stakeholder relationships

Key observations:

Schipol’s 2016 Annual Report opens with a clear value creation model that pulls together various aspects of the business in a concise and easy to understand format. Under the headings ‘why’, ‘how’, ‘what’, ‘who’ and ‘value’, the Group outlines its mission and ambition statements, its four key business areas and the five themes that the Group’s strategy is based around. The diagram also includes a list of Schipol’s key stakeholders who represent a wide range of interests and are then referred to later in the Report with the use of icons. Lastly the value creation model also includes the Group’s inputs, outputs and outcomes, with all of these categorised into the six capitals (financial, manufactured, Intellectual, Human, Social and Relationship and Natural) as outlined in 2.15-2.16 of the <IR> Framework.
