Key observations:

The presentation of Eni’s business model demonstrates the interaction between the company’s strategy, governance and value drivers and shows how each capital is managed to create value both internally and externally for Eni stakeholders. The table on pp. 17 illustrates each capital’s role in the overall business model – describing (1) the composition of each capital, (2) the related activities and processes, and (3) value created.  Within the value creation columns, trade-offs between the capitals are presented, underscoring the principle of connectivity.

The “Integrated Performance” section on pp.97-99 discloses the relevant performance indicators for each capital that are measured and managed by Eni.  The table shows the company’s three-year performance record with regard to its 2015-18 strategic objectives, allowing the reader to perform a trending analysis.
