In its second integrated report, Sanford effectively addresses the company’s value creation proposition.  The discussion of the company’s five primary ‘value enablers’ (i.e. inputs), along with the related KPIs and progress toward stated goals, provides a reflection of Sanford’s commitment to optimizing its resources and efficiently managing its processes to create value for the business and its stakeholders. The comprehensive explanation of Sanford’s materiality process early on in the report offers clarity into the company’s top 8 material issues and how these issues have formed the basis of the company’s strategy and reporting. Connectivity is a strength of the report, bolstered by the use of icons cross-referencing related information from one section of the report to another.  The clear integration of risk into the company’s materiality process and the structure of performance reporting around the four focus areas of the business strategy are also strengths that address key content elements from the <IR> Framework.  Finally, the assurance of non-financial, as well as financial, information lends credibility to the performance information and measurements in the report.
